Julie Sager
Director and Lead Teacher
Julie has been the director and teacher of the 4-5 year olds at Immanuel Lutheran Preschool since 2008. She has 20+ years experience teaching children of all ages. Julie has bachelors degrees in Elementary and Special Education from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on integrating the Arts, from Lesley College. She owned and ran a home business teaching Kindermusik for 20 years. Kindermusik is a music and movement program for young children. Julie uses many of the Kindermusik concepts and activities in preschool on a regular basis. Julie is also certified to teach children's yoga and uses a musical children's yoga program "Kidding Around Yoga" in her preschool classes. Besides teaching, Julie is a mother to two grown children and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, singing in church, and attending dance exercise classes whenever she can!
Wendy Deaton
Lead Teacher
Wendy has been the teacher of Immanuel's 3-4 year olds since 2008. She has 20+ years experience teaching children of all ages. She holds a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement from Montana State University, as well as a current Montana state teaching license. Wendy is certified to teach the "Kidding Around Yoga" program, and uses it, and other music and movement activities regularly in her classes. Besides teaching, Wendy is the mother of three grown children and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, scrapbooking, skiing, and exercising when she has time!
